Deuteronomy 5
- 1 모세가 온 이스라엘을 불러 그들에게 이르되, 오 이스라엘아, 이 날 내가 너희 귀에 말하는 법규와 판단의 법도를 들으라. 이것은 너희가 그것들을 배우고 지키고 행하게 하려 함이니라.
- 2 주 우리 하나님께서 호렙에서 우리와 언약을 맺으셨나니
- 3 주께서는 이 언약을 우리 조상들과 맺지 아니하시고 우리 곧 이 날 여기에 살아 있는 우리 모두와 맺으셨느니라.
- 4 주께서 산에서 불 가운데서 너희와 얼굴을 마주 대하여 말씀하시매
- 5 (그때에 너희가 불로 인해 무서워하여 산에 오르지 못하므로 내가 주와 너희 사이에 서서 주의 말씀을 너희에게 보여 주었노라.) 그분께서 이르시되,
- 6 ¶나는 너를 이집트 땅 곧 속박의 집에서 데리고 나온 주 네 하나님이니라.
- 7 너는 내 앞에 다른 신들을 두지 말라.
- 8 너는 너를 위하여 어떤 새긴 형상도 만들지 말고 또 위로 하늘에 있는 것이나 아래로 땅에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 물속에 있는 것의 어떤 모습이든지 만들지 말며
- 9 그것들에게 절하지 말고 그것들을 섬기지 말라. 나 주 네 하나님은 질투하는 하나님이니라. 나는 나를 미워하는 자들에게는 아버지들의 불법을 자손들에게 벌하여 삼사 대까지 이르게 하거니와
- 10 나를 사랑하고 내 명령들을 지키는 수천의 사람들에게는 긍휼을 베푸느니라.
- 11 너는 주 네 하나님의 이름을 헛되이 취하지 말라. 주가 자신의 이름을 헛되이 취하는 자를 죄 없다 하지 아니하리라.
- 12 주 네 하나님이 네게 명령한 대로 안식일을 지켜 거룩히 구별하라.
- 13 엿새 동안은 네가 수고하고 네 모든 일을 행할 것이나
- 14 일곱째 날은 주 네 하나님의 안식일인즉 그 날에는 너나 네 아들이나 네 딸이나 네 남종이나 네 여종이나 네 소나 네 나귀나 네 모든 가축이나 네 문안에 거하는 네 나그네나 아무 일도 하지 말지니 이것은 너뿐만 아니라 네 남종이나 네 여종도 안식하게 하려 함이니라.
- 15 기억하라. 네가 이집트 땅에서 종이었을 때에 주 네 하나님이 강한 손과 뻗은 팔로 너를 거기서 데리고 나왔나니 그러므로 주 네 하나님이 네게 명령하여 안식일을 지키게 하였느니라.
- 16 ¶주 네 하나님이 네게 명령한 대로 네 아버지와 어머니를 공경하라. 그리하면 주 네 하나님이 네게 주는 땅에서 네 날들이 길게 되고 네가 잘되리라.
- 17 너는 살인하지 말라.
- 18 너는 간음하지 말라.
- 19 너는 도둑질하지 말라.
- 20 너는 네 이웃을 대적하여 거짓 증언하지 말라.
- 21 너는 네 이웃의 아내를 탐내지 말며 네 이웃의 집이나 그의 밭이나 그의 남종이나 그의 여종이나 그의 소나 그의 나귀나 네 이웃의 소유 중 그 어떤 것도 탐내지 말라.
- 22 ¶주께서 이 말씀들을 산에서 불 가운데서, 구름 가운데서, 짙은 어둠 가운데서 큰 음성으로 너희의 온 집회에 말씀하신 뒤에 더 이상 말씀하지 아니하시고 그것들을 두 돌 판에 써서 내게 넘겨주셨느니라.
- 23 (산이 불에 타므로) 너희가 어둠 가운데서 나오는 음성을 듣고 너희 곧 너희 지파들의 모든 우두머리와 너희 장로들이 내게 가까이 나아와
- 24 이르되, 보소서, 주 우리 하나님께서 자신의 영광과 위대하심을 우리에게 보이시매 불 가운데서 나오는 그분의 음성을 우리가 들었고 하나님께서 사람과 말씀하시되 그 사람이 살아 있음을 이 날 우리가 보았나이다.
- 25 그러므로 이제 우리가 죽어야 할 까닭이 무엇이니이까? 이 큰 불이 우리를 소멸시키리니 우리가 주 우리 하나님의 음성을 더 들으면 죽으리이다.
- 26 모든 육체 중에 누가 우리처럼 불 가운데서 말씀하시는 살아 계신 하나님의 음성을 듣고 살아남았나이까?
- 27 당신은 가까이 가서 주 우리 하나님께서 말씀하실 모든 것을 듣고 주 우리 하나님께서 당신에게 이르실 모든 것을 우리에게 말하소서. 우리가 그것을 듣고 행하겠나이다, 하였느니라.
- 28 너희가 내게 말할 때에 주께서 너희의 말소리를 들으셨으므로 주께서 내게 이르시되, 이 백성이 네게 말한 말들 곧 그들의 말소리를 내가 들었는데 그들이 말한 모든 것을 그들이 잘 말하였도다.
- 29 다만 그들 속에 이 같은 마음이 있어서 그들이 항상 나를 두려워하며 내 모든 명령을 지켜 그들과 그들의 자손들이 영원히 잘되기를 원하노라!
- 30 가서 그들에게 이르기를, 너희는 너희 장막으로 돌아가라, 하고
- 31 오직 너로 말하건대 너는 여기 내 옆에 서라. 내가 모든 명령과 법규와 판단의 법도를 네게 말하리니 너는 그것들을 그들에게 가르쳐서 그들이 내가 그들에게 소유로 주는 땅에서 그것들을 행하게 하라, 하셨느니라.
- 32 그런즉 주 너희 하나님께서 너희에게 명령하신 대로 너희는 지켜 행하고 오른쪽으로나 왼쪽으로나 치우치지 말며
- 33 주 너희 하나님께서 너희에게 명령하신 그 모든 길로 걸을지니라. 그리하면 너희가 살 것이요, 또 잘되고 너희가 소유할 땅에서 너희 날들을 길게 하리라.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
