Jeremiah 40
- 1 호위대장 느부사라단이 예레미야를 붙잡아 예루살렘과 유다에서 포로가 되어 끌려간 사람들 곧 포로가 되어 바빌론으로 끌려간 모든 사람들 가운데 두고 사슬로 묶었다가 라마에서 풀어 준 뒤에 주로부터 예레미야에게 임한 말씀이라.
- 2 호위대장이 예레미야를 데려다가 그에게 이르되, 주 네 하나님께서 이 재앙을 이곳에 선포하시고
- 3 이제 주께서 그것을 가져오사 친히 말씀하신 대로 행하셨으니 이는 너희가 주께 죄를 짓고 그분의 음성에 순종하지 아니하였기 때문이라. 그러므로 이 일이 너희에게 임하였느니라.
- 4 이제, 보라, 내가 이 날 너를 네 손의 사슬에서 풀어 주노니 만일 네가 나와 함께 바빌론으로 가는 것을 좋게 여기거든 같이 가자. 내가 너를 잘 보살펴 주리라. 그러나 만일 네가 나와 함께 바빌론으로 가는 것을 나쁘게 여기거든 그만두라. 보라, 온 땅이 네 앞에 있나니 네가 가기에 좋게 여기며 편하게 여기는 곳으로 거기로 가라, 하니라.
- 5 이제 그가 아직 돌아가기 전에 그가 이르되, 너는 또한 바빌론 왕이 유다의 도시들을 다스릴 총독으로 삼은 자 곧 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야에게 돌아가 그와 함께 백성 가운데 거하거나 혹은 어디든지 네가 가기에 편하게 여기는 곳으로 가라, 하고 이처럼 그 호위대장이 그에게 식량과 보상을 주어 가게 하니라.
- 6 이에 예레미야가 미스바로 가서 아히감의 아들 그달리야에게 이르러 그와 함께 그 땅에 남아 있던 백성 가운데 거하니라.
- 7 ¶이제 들에 있던 군대의 모든 대장과 그들에게 속한 사람들이 바빌론 왕이 아히감의 아들 그달리야를 그 땅의 총독으로 삼고 포로가 되어 바빌론으로 끌려가지 아니한 자들과 그 땅의 가난한 자들 중에서 남자들과 여자들과 아이들을 그에게 맡겼다는 것을 듣고
- 8 이에 그들 곧 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 가레아의 아들들 요하난과 요나단과 단후멧의 아들 스라야와 느도바 사람 에배의 아들들과 마아가 사람의 아들 여사냐와 그들에게 속한 사람들이 미스바로 나아와 그달리야에게 이르니라.
- 9 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야가 그들과 그들에게 속한 사람들에게 맹세하여 이르되, 갈대아 사람들 섬기기를 두려워하지 말고 이 땅에 거하면서 바빌론 왕을 섬기라. 그리하면 너희가 잘되리라.
- 10 나로 말하건대, 보라, 나는 미스바에 거하면서 우리에게 올 갈대아 사람들을 섬기려니와 너희는 포도즙과 여름 과일과 기름을 모아 너희 그릇에 담고 너희가 취한 너희 도시들에 거하라, 하니라.
- 11 그와 마찬가지로 모압과 암몬 족속 가운데와 에돔과 모든 지방에 있던 모든 유대인들도 바빌론 왕이 유다의 남은 자를 남겨 두었다는 것과 그들을 다스리기 위해 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야를 세웠다는 소식을 듣고
- 12 그 모든 유대인들이 자기들이 쫓겨나서 머물던 모든 곳에서 돌아와 유다 땅 미스바로 가서 그달리야에게 이르러 포도즙과 여름 과일들을 심히 많이 모으니라.
- 13 ¶또 가레아의 아들 요하난과 들에 있던 군대의 모든 대장이 미스바로 가서 그달리야에게 이르러
- 14 그에게 말하되, 암몬 족속의 왕 바알리스가 너를 죽이려고 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 보낸 것을 네가 확실히 아느냐? 하였으나 아히감의 아들 그달리야가 그들의 말을 믿지 아니하더라.
- 15 이에 가레아의 아들 요하난이 미스바에서 그달리야에게 은밀히 말하여 이르되, 원하건대 내가 가서 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 죽이게 하라. 아무도 그것을 알지 못하리라. 어찌하여 그가 너를 죽이게 하여 네게 모인 모든 유대인들이 흩어지게 하며 유다 안의 남은 자들이 망하게 하겠느냐? 하니라.
- 16 그러나 아히감의 아들 그달리야가 가레아의 아들 요하난에게 이르되, 너는 이 일을 행하지 말라. 네가 이스마엘에 대하여 거짓으로 말하느니라, 하니라.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
