Jeremiah 39
- 1 유다 왕 시드기야의 제구년 시월에 바빌론 왕 느부갓레살과 그의 온 군대가 와서 예루살렘을 치고 그것을 에워싸매
- 2 시드기야의 제십일년 사월 곧 그 달 구일에 그 도시가 함락되니라.
- 3 바빌론 왕의 모든 통치자들이 들어와 가운데 문에 앉았으니 곧 네르갈사레셀과 삼갈느보와 살스김과 랍사리스와 네르갈사레셀과 랍막이 바빌론 왕의 통치자들 중에서 남은 모든 자들과 함께 앉았더라.
- 4 ¶유다 왕 시드기야와 모든 군사가 그들을 보고는 그때에 도망하여 밤에 왕의 동산 길을 따라 두 성벽 사이에 있던 성문을 통해 도시를 빠져나왔으며 그는 평야 길로 나갔더라.
- 5 그러나 갈대아 사람들의 군대가 그들을 쫓아가 여리고 평야에서 시드기야를 따라잡고 그를 붙잡아 하맛 땅의 리블라에 있던 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살에게로 데려가니 그가 거기서 그에게 심판을 내리니라.
- 6 그때에 바빌론 왕이 리블라에서 시드기야의 눈앞에서 그의 아들들을 죽이고 또 바빌론 왕이 유다의 모든 고귀한 자들도 죽이며
- 7 또 그가 시드기야의 눈을 빼고 그를 바빌론으로 끌고 가려고 사슬로 묶었더라.
- 8 ¶또 갈대아 사람들이 왕의 집과 백성의 집들을 불태우고 예루살렘 성벽을 헐었더라.
- 9 그때에 호위대장 느부사라단이 그 도시에 남아 있던 백성의 남은 자들과 또 떨어져 나와 자기에게 항복한 자들과 거기에 남아 있던 백성의 남은 자들을 포로로 사로잡아 바빌론으로 끌고 갔으나
- 10 호위대장 느부사라단이 아무 소유도 없는 백성의 가난한 자들의 일부를 유다 땅에 남겨 두고 그와 동시에 포도원과 밭을 그들에게 주었더라.
- 11 ¶이제 바빌론 왕 느부갓레살이 호위대장 느부사라단에게 예레미야에 대한 책무를 주며 이르되,
- 12 그를 데려다가 잘 보살피고 조금도 해하지 말며 그가 네게 말하는 대로 그에게 행하라, 하였으므로
- 13 이에 호위대장 느부사라단과 느부사스반과 랍사리스와 네르갈사레셀과 랍막과 바빌론 왕의 모든 통치자들
- 14 곧 그들이 사람을 보내어 감옥 뜰에서 예레미야를 데려다가 사반의 손자요, 아히감의 아들인 그달리야에게 맡겨 그가 그를 집으로 데려가게 하매 이에 그가 백성 가운데 거하니라.
- 15 ¶이제 예레미야가 감옥 뜰에 갇혀 있을 때에 주의 말씀이 그에게 임하니라. 이르시되,
- 16 가서 에티오피아 사람 에벳멜렉에게 말하여 이르기를, 만군의 주 곧 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 복이 아니라 화를 주려고 내 말들을 가져다가 이 도시 위에 임하게 하리니 그 말들이 그 날에 네 앞에서 이루어지리라.
- 17 주가 말하노라. 그러나 그 날에 내가 너를 건질 터인즉 네가 두려워하는 그 사람들의 손에 네가 넘어가지 아니하리라.
- 18 네가 나를 신뢰하였으므로 내가 반드시 너를 건지리니 네가 칼에 쓰러지지 아니하고 네 생명이 네게 탈취물이 되리라. 주가 말하노라, 하라, 하시니라.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
