- 1 그때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되매 아모스의 아들 대언자 이사야가 그에게 나아와 그에게 이르되, 주가 이같이 말하노라. 네 집을 정리하라. 네가 죽고 살지 못하리라, 하니라.
- 2 그때에 그가 자기 얼굴을 벽으로 돌리고 주께 기도하여 이르되,
- 3 오 주여, 간청하오니 내가 진실함과 완전한 마음으로 주 앞에서 걸었으며 또 주의 눈앞에서 선한 것을 행하였음을 이제 기억하옵소서, 하고 히스기야가 통곡하였더라.
- 4 이사야가 가운데뜰에 이르기 전에 주의 말씀이 그에게 임하니라. 이르시되,
- 5 되돌아가서 내 백성의 대장 히스기야에게 말하기를, 주 곧 네 조상 다윗의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았노라. 보라, 내가 너를 낫게 하리니 네가 셋째 날에 주의 집에 올라가리라.
- 6 내가 네 날들에 십오 년을 더하여 주며 또 내가 너와 이 도시를 아시리아 왕의 손에서 건져 내고 나와 내 종 다윗을 위하여 이 도시를 보호하리라, 하라.
- 7 이사야가 이르되, 무화과 한 덩이를 가져오라, 하매 그들이 그것을 가져다가 종기에 놓으니 그가 회복되니라.
- 8 ¶히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되, 주께서 나를 낫게 하사 내가 셋째 날에 주의 집에 올라가게 하실 표적이 무엇이리이까? 하니
- 9 이사야가 이르되, 주께서 친히 말씀하신 일을 하실 것에 대하여 왕이 주에게서 이 표적을 받으리이다. 그림자가 앞으로 십 도 나아가리이까, 혹은 뒤로 십 도 물러가리이까? 하매
- 10 히스기야가 대답하되, 그림자가 십 도 내려가는 것은 쉬운 일이니 그리할 것이 아니라 그림자가 뒤로 십 도 물러가게 하소서, 하거늘
- 11 대언자 이사야가 주께 부르짖으매 그분께서 아하스의 해시계에서 십 도 내려간 그림자를 뒤로 십 도 물러가게 하셨더라.
- 12 ¶그때에 발라단의 아들인 바빌론 왕 브로닥발라단이 히스기야가 병들었다는 것을 들었으므로 편지와 예물을 히스기야에게 보내매
- 13 히스기야가 그들의 말에 귀를 기울이고 자기의 귀한 물건과 은과 금과 향료와 귀한 기름이 있는 온 집과 또 자기의 온 병기고와 자기의 보고에서 찾은 모든 것을 그들에게 보여 주었더라. 그의 집과 그의 지배 하에 있던 모든 것 중에서 히스기야가 그들에게 보여 주지 아니한 것이 하나도 없었더라.
- 14 ¶그때에 대언자 이사야가 히스기야 왕에게 나아와 그에게 이르되, 이 사람들이 무슨 말을 하였나이까? 그들이 어디에서 왕에게 왔나이까? 하니 히스기야가 이르되, 그들은 먼 나라 곧 바빌론에서 왔나이다, 하거늘
- 15 그가 이르되, 그들이 왕의 집에서 무엇을 보았나이까? 하매 히스기야가 대답하되, 내 집에 있는 모든 것을 그들이 보았나니 내 보물 가운데 내가 그들에게 보여 주지 아니한 것이 하나도 없나이다, 하매
- 16 이사야가 히스기야에게 이르되, 주의 말씀을 들으소서.
- 17 주께서 말씀하시기를, 보라, 날들이 이르리니 네 집에 있는 모든 것과 네 조상들이 이 날까지 쌓아 두었던 것이 바빌론으로 옮겨지고 하나도 남지 아니하리라.
- 18 또 그들이 네게서 나올 네 아들들 곧 네가 낳을 아들들 중에서 빼앗아 가리니 그들이 바빌론 왕의 궁궐에서 내시가 되리라, 하시나이다, 하매
- 19 그때에 히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되, 당신이 말한 주의 말씀이 선하니이다, 하고 또 이르되, 나의 날들에 화평과 진리가 있을진대 그 일이 선하지 아니하리요? 하니라.
- 20 ¶히스기야의 나머지 행적과 그의 모든 권력과 또 그가 연못과 수로를 만들어 물을 도시 안으로 끌어들인 일은 유다 왕들의 연대기 책에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
- 21 히스기야가 자기 조상들과 함께 잠드니 그의 아들 므낫세가 그를 대신하여 통치하니라.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
