Malaquias 2
- 1 Agora pois, ó sacerdotes, este mandamento vos toca a vós.
- 2 Se o não ouvirdes, e se não propozerdes no coração, dar honra ao meu nome, diz o Senhor dos Exercitos, enviarei a maldição contra vós, e amaldiçoarei as vossas bençãos; e tambem já tenho maldito a cada qual d'ellas, porque vós não pondes isso no coração.
- 3 Eis que vos corromperei a semente, e espalharei esterco sobre os vossos rostos, o esterco das vossas festas; e com elles sereis tirados.
- 4 Então sabereis que eu vos enviei este mandamento, para que o meu concerto seja com Levi, diz o Senhor dos Exercitos.
- 5 Meu concerto com elle foi a vida e a paz, e eu lh'as dei para temor, e me temeu, e assombrou-se por causa do meu nome.
- 6 A lei da verdade esteve na sua bocca, e a iniquidade não se achou nos seus labios: andou comigo em paz e em rectidão, e converteu a muitos da iniquidade.
- 7 Porque os labios do sacerdote guardarão a sciencia, e da sua bocca buscarão a lei, porque elle é o anjo do Senhor dos Exercitos.
- 8 Mas vós vos desviastes do caminho, a muitos fizestes tropeçar na lei: corrompestes o concerto de Levi, diz o Senhor dos Exercitos.
- 9 Por isso tambem eu vos fiz despreziveis, e indignos diante de todo o povo, visto que não guardaes os meus caminhos, mas acceitaes pessoas na lei.
- 10 Não temos nós todos um mesmo Pae? não nos creou um mesmo Deus? porque seremos desleaes cada um com seu irmão, profanando o concerto de nossos paes?
- 11 Judah foi desleal, e abominação se obrou em Israel e em Jerusalem; porque Judah profana a sanctidade do Senhor, a qual ama, e se casou com a filha de deus estranho.
- 12 O Senhor destruirá das tendas de Jacob o homem que fizer isto, o que vela, e o que responde, e o que offerece presente ao Senhor dos Exercitos.
- 13 Tambem fazeis esta segunda coisa: cobris o altar do Senhor de lagrimas, de choros e de gemidos; de sorte que elle não olha mais para o presente, nem o acceitará com prazer da vossa mão.
- 14 E dizeis: Porque? porque o Senhor foi testemunha entre ti e a mulher da tua mocidade, contra a qual tu foste desleal, sendo ella a tua companheira, e a mulher do teu concerto.
- 15 E não fez elle sómente um? sobejando-lhe espirito? e porque sómente este um? buscava uma semente de Deus: portanto guardae-vos em vosso espirito, e contra a mulher da vossa mocidade nenhum seja desleal.
- 16 Porque o Senhor Deus de Israel diz que aborrece o repudio, e aquelle que encobre a violencia com o seu vestido, diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: portanto guardae-vos em vosso espirito, e não sejaes desleaes.
- 17 Enfadaes ao Senhor com vossas palavras: e ainda dizeis: Em que o enfadamos? N'isto que dizeis: Qualquer que faz mal é bom aos olhos do Senhor, e n'estes taes é que elle se agrada, ou, onde está o Deus do juizo?

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
